Cleaning

• Clean dirt and stains promptly, as they are easier to remove when fresh.
• Gently wipe the leather and suede areas with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth, taking care not to damage the surface. Always use the least aggressive cleaning method that is effective.
• Spot-clean only the affected areas rather than washing the entire shoe.
• Never place the shoes in a washing machine unless specifically recommended by the manufacturer.

Water

• Suede is especially vulnerable to water marks and staining. If the shoes get wet, allow them to air dry naturally.
• Stuff them lightly with paper to help retain their shape and absorb excess moisture.
• Keep them away from heaters, radiators, and direct sunlight while drying.

Suede Care

• Brush suede regularly with a suede brush to keep the texture, or “nap,” looking fresh.
• Store suede shoes in a way that prevents them from being crushed or rubbed against other footwear.
• A suede-safe protector spray may be used if desired.

Leather Care

• Wipe leather occasionally to remove dirt, dust, and sweat.
• Condition the leather every few months, or whenever it begins to look dry.
• Avoid products that make the leather excessively oily or shiny, unless that is the intended finish.

Knit Care

• Knit areas may collect dust and lint, so light brushing is recommended.
• Avoid snagging the knit on rough surfaces.
• Keep sharp objects away from the fabric portions of the shoe.

Storage

• Store shoes in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
• Use shoe trees or lightly stuff them with paper when they are not being worn for an extended period.
• Allow shoes to air out after use before placing them in a box or closet.
• Consider using a dust bag for additional protection.

Things That Can Damage Mixed-Material Shoes

Avoid the following:

• Machine washing.
• High-heat drying.
• Soaking in water.
• Harsh chemicals or bleach.
• Aggressive scrubbing of suede.
• Wearing the same pair every day without allowing them to dry and air out properly.
